Besides other factors, like reaction against anti Islamic environment in educational culture, involved in the foundation of Jamiat, an important factor was also the situation, which developed, in august 1969. It was the movement for the Islamization of the educational system of Pakistan that shook the then government authorities and at the last they had to confess. Pakistans educational system ought to be laid upon the national and religious basis. The proposal threatened the pro-Hindu socialist lobby. And for the survival of their ideology a slogan of SOS was raised Educational system must be secular!… So to check the disastrous ideology and the conspiracy, in a seminar held in Dhaka, a knight of Islam, taking the risk of his life, announced openly that the Educational system of Pakistan will only and only be Islamic And once again the history repeated it self in the chapter of Badr & Uhad got revised. And that courageous lover of Islam was martyred. Founder of Jamiat (Shakoora Aftab) while explaining the incident determined that An important and instantaneous factor involving the foundation of Jamiat was Abdul-Maliks Shahadat (martyrdom) in Dhaka university. Up till then, there was no organized moment in girl students. So as a result there was a deep silence despite of aggressive protest from that side. The innocent blood shed in the way of Allah grieved my heart and I took a firm decision to organize the women folk in educational institutes. Our Aim Is To... Seek the pleasure of Allah(SWT) by molding Human life according to the principles laid down by Allah(SWT) and his last Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him). Our Program.... The program of Islami Jamiat Talibat is 1. To convey the message of Islam to girl students by persuading them to acquire Islamic knowledge and enable them to fulfill the requisites of this divine religion in their practical life with a considered understanding that Islam is a complete code of life. 2. To organize all those girl students under the aegis of Jamiat, who are willing to struggle for the establishment of Islamic ways of life. 3. To make effective arrangements for the mental and moral training of those girl students who join the Jamiat. 4. To check the prevailing indifference towards proper clothing and arrest the growing tendency towards neglecting of the veil; to inculcate Islamic moral values and popularize Islamic traits of character, habits and ways of life. 5. To strive for the implementation of Islamic educational system in Pakistan make concrete efforts to solve the problems faced by the students, get their genuine demands fulfilled and guide them in their collective problems.
