We work for the benefit of the individual and for the mutual benefit of Britain and Pakistan. We have been working in Pakistan since 1948, starting from a small office in Karachi. We now offer services in 7 cities in Pakistan and employ more than 200 staff members. In the UK the British Council is registered as a charity (not-for-profit-organisation) and operates as an executive non-departmental public body. Our patron is Her Majesty The Queen and our Vice-Patron is His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales. In Pakistan we create opportunities for you to experience the best of the United Kingdom.
