Hasan Tariq strikes gold the first time he sings, even though slower tunes have always been considered a mammoth task. But HT delivers; which makes him a success. Hassan Tariq’s debut single ‘Teri Yaad’ has been composed by Wajid Ali Naushad, the son of the famous Pakistani film composer Naushad, and its lyrics have been penned by Saeed Gillani. ‘Teri Yaad’, a hit across Pakistan has touched people from near and far. This is evident in the out pouring of requests for the single on all the music channels. A slick video directed by the veteran Jawad Bashir, ‘Teri Yaad’ stars two well known Pakistani artistes. The video conforms to the words and feel of the song. Haunting and melodious, the song explores the emotions of love and how it makes everything surreal especially when one misses a loved one. The video wears a very soft, dreamy look. Between clips of a couple with a child, one moves in and out of their past, present and future.
