Who am I The horse trainer? My name is Anne Margrethe Hansen and I am 49 years old. I am a school teacher but 4 years ago I decided to quit my job, because my husband was working for a Danish company in Pakistan. I went to Pakistan with an open mind and found a great life in working with horses. I spend three lovely years together with my husband i Pakistan. Shortly upon my arrival to Pakistan I was introduced to Prince Malik Ata and we have establised a long lasting friendship between us. I love Pakistan and the Pakistanis very much and are fortunate to have the opportunity to stay at Malik Atas place helping him working his horses between 4-6 month every year. I am training the horses from ground, after the newest principle in horse training, described by the Austrian author Klaus Hempling. It is exciting to be able to train that many horses and see the effects this way of training has on them. Malik Ata has introduced me to a grand part of the people in Pakistan, who has the same passion as us. In Pakistan it is a mans world. They arrange horse shows, where they fight amongst each other and in groups to get the best place. Through this they are able to show their strenght and courage, It is an exciting and colorful world, which Eva and I wants you to experience. Who am I – The journalist. My name is Eva Nitschke and I am 37 years old. I came to Pakistan for the first time 4 years ago as a part of my job at the time. I met Anne the first night in Islamabad, and our common interests in the manifold Islamic, Pakistani culture and horses was a perfect way to begin an exellent friendship. Through Anne I was introduced to Malik Ata, who with his hospitality also introduced me to the exciting Pakistani culture and its manifold life. It gave me many unforgetable experiences and many things to think about. I am a free-lance journalist and work in an office together with five other journalists. I am writing for weekly and monthly magasins and newspapers. Anna and I really want others to become a part of our personal Pakistani adventure. This journey is a unique way to combine beautiful nature scenary with interesting meetings with the local population of Pakistan. We have put together a versatile program and will do everything to make this journey something very special. We are looking very much forward to hear from you. A ride into the sunset. The calling of a Mullah at a close by Mosque is heard across the fields. The farm workers are on their way home after a long days work in the fields. Women in colorful, beautiful dresses and scarves walk together with the men, driving forth the buffalos. The majestic eagles are circulating in the sky above searching the area for pray. We are galloping right into the orange-red sun, which hangs low on the sky and we reach one of the many small villages. People stop and greet us, while we slowly ride through the village, which only consists of clay houses with beautiful small yards, where the people are preparing dinner over open fire. It is a journey back in time and a journey far away from the western world. Here you are met with a rare peace and you get in contact with other sides of life. It is starting to get cold. So we are galloping the horses back to Kot Fateh Kahn. At the palace the men are finishing their doings of the day and they look forward to a quite evening, where the silence is only disturbed by the hooting of the owl and the last calls for prayer from the mosque. The dinner is served in the main building. All the ingredients have just been pulled from the garden and tasts wonderful and fresh. The darkness is closing down around the palace and the village like a big blanket. The tiredness is felt after the long ride and all the fresh air.
